For indoor domestic use. An electric fireplace is a mains electrical heater — plug it into a suitable wall socket, not a thin extension lead or a multi-way adaptor, keep the stated clearance around it, never cover it or dry clothes on it, and keep the air inlets and outlets clear. Do not use it with a damaged lead, keep it away from water, and switch it off at the socket before cleaning. A wall-mounted unit must be fixed to a wall that can carry its weight; have the fixing or any fixed wiring done by a qualified person. It produces a flame effect with LED light and real heat but no flame, no smoke and no flue. CE marked where applicable. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
